Is the North Star club self-catering?

Not strictly speaking. There isn’t a full blown kitchen, however each suite has a fridge, electric kettle, basic utensils, washing up sink, and a 2 ring gas hob on the veranda. There is also a large clay oven by the woodshed / camp fire and we have charcoal bbqs for those that want a traditional bbq over fire. For larger groups we can recommend caterers that can deliver or come and provide food for you.

Are hen parties welcome?

Yes, we welcome well behaved hen parties and groups of all kinds, the Club is a fantastic place to celebrate – from girly weekends to big birthdays!

Do you take pets?

We’re sorry but we aren’t able to take pets. This is a condition imposed upon us by the landowner to avoid disruption to wildlife.

How do I find the camp?

By Car

The postcode for the site is YO43 4RE, but please be aware this covers a large area and sat navs will not take you to the correct entrance. For directions to the camp click here to download and print the directions.. You will also be sent this via email after your booking is confirmed.

By Train

The nearest stations are either Beverley or Brough – if travelling from London change at Doncaster and take the Hull train. You will then need to take a 10 minute taxi ride from either station to the site.

What do I need to bring with me?

The woodland is a rugged environment and we aim to tread lightly on it. You will find stoned paths instead of tarmac and low level lighting at night. We recommend packing outdoor clothes and wellies and also slippers for inside the suites and of course toiletries. A torch will also be handy.

What are the Arrival and Departure times?

Arrivals are usually between 4pm and 7pm and departure is at 10:30am.

Can I hire the whole North Star Club?

Yes – you can take the North Star club exclusively for corporate events, weddings, parties and celebrations of all kinds. Please call or email for more information.

Will I be cosy in the suites all year round?

Yes! – The suites are open all year, they are thoroughly insulated and have radiators in the bathroom and wood burners in the bedroom.

Are the suites private?

Yes – Each suite is nestled in the woodland at least 25 metres from its neighbour.
